In 2002, Minus33 was created by textile engineers from L. W. Packard amp; Co. Inc. L. W. Packard has been involved in just about every aspect of the wool industry, and a proud family-owned business since 1916. In 1995, L.W. Packard was selected by Textile World magazine as one of the top ten textile plants in the world.

Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.	RENEWABLE Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements.
